Brazil, you want it! We got it!

Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism (Embratur) wants tourists to visit the sprawling country — just not at this moment.
The ministry has launched a campaign that urges would-be visitors to “Don’t cancel, reschedule!” which asks tourists to simply postpone Brazil vacations during the coronavirus pandemic.
The campaign follows a survey that shows about 45% of consumers have not yet made a decision about their holidays or travel packages already purchased. The data shows that most consumers are waiting for the pandemic to end before making a decision on travel. The content is available at http://www.turismo.gov.br/nao-cancele-remarque.
Tourism Minister Marcelo Álvaro Antônio said: “We are working on several fronts to ease the impacts on the sector. A campaign like this helps to spread the idea that, if the trips are not canceled, but only postponed for another moment, the sector maintains its strength for a later recovery.”
Meanwhile, the Brazilian Tourist Board (Embratur) also has a new digital campaign that invites travellers to visit the country after the pandemic is over. The message highlights that Brazil will welcome everyone with open arms as soon as the current crisis ends.
The video, entitled “Brazil, you want it! We got it!”, showcases footage of some of the most beautiful sights in the country.
“We know that the pandemic is temporary, but the beautiful Brazilian spots are not going anywhere and they will still be here waiting for international and national visitors. Embratur is working to minimize the great impact on the tourism sector at this moment,” said Embratur’s president, Gilson Machado Neto.
