Websites provide endless information on Mexico

Israel Urbina Acuna is happy to direct those planning a Mexican vacation to a site that covers the Latin American nation from A (capulco) to Z (ihuatanejo).

Cancun-based Urbina Acuna is a promoter of VisitMexico.com, a website that began life years ago as a Mexican tourism authority initiative and today provides seemingly endless information on Mexico’s many tourist locales.

VisitMexico.com in fact gives the lowdown on over 300 destinations, along with over 100 tourist routes in the large country.

The site has sections dealing with such topics as Beaches, Archeology, Ecotourism and Adventure, Magic Towns and Heritage Cities, and invites visitors to Get to Know Mexico and Its 32 States.

“If you’re planning to go to Mexico and don’t know what you want, it’s the best way,” Urbina Acuna says, noting insights are available on numerous topics, including climate. “It gives you an overview of Mexico in general so you can decide where to go.

“I think it’s a good idea to plan, otherwise you may miss things.”

Urbina Acuna — whose lengthy tourism career includes a tenure with Cancun’s tourist board — reports Mexico is happily welcoming tourists at a time when international travel is picking up.

Those visiting VisitMexico.com will find images, including ones of such iconic Mexican attractions as the archeological site of Chichen Itza.

Meanwhile, the industrious Urbina Acuna is also director general of I Love Mexico, which he says contains further information that travel agents may find useful.

A video also enables viewers to see some of what awaits those who vacation in Mexico. The video features Mexico City, beach resorts and other locales.

I Love Mexico is available in English and Spanish.

Those visiting that site can sign up for newsletters.

I Love Mexico can be found at https://ilovemexico.travel/. The site’s email is  [email protected].
