Weddings at Bürgenstock Hotels & Resorts are fit for celebrities

Ian Stalker

Those who choose to tie the knot at Switzerland’s upscale Bürgenstock Hotels & Resorts will be following in the footsteps of a famed movie industry figure.

Cassandra Koch, senior conference groups and sales manager at the Lake Lucerne retreat, noted Audrey Hepburn got married at the Bürgenstock in 1954, a marriage well recalled by the resort.

“Not every Hollywood story is made in Hollywood,” Koch said during a Switzerland Tourism webinar. “We created at the Bürgenstock Resort our own Hollywood story… Famous guests were instrumental in making the legend of the Bürgenstock.”

The Bürgenstock features four hotels, a spa, and eight restaurants, with dining options including Asian cuisine.

The property – which Koch said delivers a combination of history and the future – overlooks Lake Lucerne and guests can arrive by boat.

Koch noted the hotel hosts bachelor and bachelorette parties and is happy to help couples prepare for their “big wedding day.”

Koch noted that wedding tastes differ, with everybody wanting to “have their own unique love story.”

Those differing tastes mean Bürgenstock weddings each have their own features, she continued.

Resort wedding venues can be festively decorated.

“Fairy tale” settings are available at the Bürgenstock, Koch added.

Koch said the resort and the resort’s setting together create memorable weddings, adding Bürgenstock can provide “a day like no other in a place like no other.”
