An overview of the latest in hotel and resort news in Europe and Central America to inspire summer travel itineraries.

Cali Mykonos

Cali Mykonos is set to debut in July 2022 on the eastern edge of the island of Mykonos, Greece. Overlooking the the deep blue Aegean water that the destination is known for with its own private beach, Cali Mykonos will boast 40 luxury villas in Kalafati Beach, a secluded area on Mykonos. Each villa has views of the sea, a private pool, and a patio perched above a 110-metre infinity pool — an olympic-size swimming pool is 50-metres — for reference.

A few steps from the pool are a fleet of yachts and speed boats, available for rides and tours to other beaches, towns, and neighbouring remote islands such as Tinos and Paros. Additionally, there will be a state of the art gym and spa, which will include steam, ice, and salt rooms, among other amenities. Helmed by Chef Lefteris Lazarou, the property’s culinary offerings will include a signature Mediterranean restaurant offering traditional Greek cuisine using locally sourced seafood and ingredients.

Borgo San Vincenzo

Another hot property opening this summer after extensive renovations and enhancements is Borgo San Vincenzo, Tuscany’s newest luxury boutique hotel. Located in the Vino Nobile vineyards of Montepulciano in Italy, Borgo San Vincenzo is an 18th-century farmhouse named for the patron saint of winemaking. This is the second property by hoteliers Scott and Shannon Kircher, the team behind award-winning Frangipani Beach Resort in Anguilla.

Celebrating the region’s historic wine scene, the countryside property will feature 21 luxury studios and suites and will offer wine-driven experiences and personalized itinerary curation. From fascinating enclaves, UNESCO-protected vistas, world-class wine tasting, and exceptional cuisine, guests can create meaningful and memorable experiences uncovering this extraordinary region.
