St. Lucie is a happening place

There is a lot going on in St. Lucie, Florida these days as the destination gears up for the 2019 winter season.

To begin with the TownePlace Suites by Marriott is scheduled to open in October in the Tradition area of Port St. Lucie.

The hotel is an extended-stay property offering 128 guest rooms and will be pet-friendly. Amenities include free high-speed internet, free breakfast every day, a pool, spa, an outdoor fire pit and a barbeque.

It’s close to shopping, the beaches and offers easy access to the turnpike and I-95 and for more, go to https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/pbitl-towneplace-suites-port-st-lucie-i-95/

Visitors will also discover some new flavours from several local restaurants. St. Lucie has a few new restaurants and others that have a fresh, new look.

Little Jim Bait and Tackle has been a staple in Fort Pierce, FL since the 1940’s. Once a guard shack for the UDT (later the SEALS) during World War II, later turned into a bait shop.

Today, Little Jim has a full menu and outdoor tiki bar along with some of your basic fishing necessities. A local hot spot, visitors will also feel right at home, enjoying live music and a beautiful view of our waterways.

For those who love baseball or watching live sports, a major renovation is underway at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie which hosts the New York Mets Spring Training games every year.

Baseball fans will encounter a whole new experience during the 2020 Spring Training season with a completely new entranceway into the stadium, a new party deck and bar in the outfield, a viewing deck to watch the back practice fields, new concession stands and a new fan shop. Spring Training season 2020 in Port St. Lucie should be at the top of every baseball fans list.
