Setting sail with Travel Edge
February 24, 2020

Travel Edge celebrated its fourth top performer exclusive experience in the Caribbean recently, hosted by Azamara Cruises.

Karen Scott Caplice, director, advisor relationships, accompanied luxury advisors from Travel Edge’s Bermuda, Atlanta, and La Jolla offices alongside a guest of their choosing.

Travel Edge said that this was its fourth top performers trip of its kind. These trips allow top-performing travel advisors to choose from an exclusive, curated list of luxury experiences, hosted by the world’s top brands. In addition to the Caribbean, advisors were able to choose from multi-city trips in France, Italy, Hawaii, and Germany.

Top performers were welcomed aboard the Azamara Cruise from Puerto Rico to Miami, with stops in St. Bart’s and the British Virgin Islands.

The Azamara Journey voyage gave them an incredible experience of life-on board, the opportunity for an exclusive Bridge Tour, fabulous white night party during their extended stay in St. Bart’s while still allowing time to relax poolside or unwind at the Sanctum Spa.

In San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel welcomed the top-performing travel advisors. While staying there, the advisors were treated to a welcome cocktail reception hosted at the Marabar Martini Lounge & Bar, followed by a welcome dinner at Tacos and Tequila. Top performers took part in a curated Old San Juan Food Tour, which included a historical walking tour to see top landmarks: Fortaleza Street, narrowest apartment, Capilla del Cristo, Plaza de Armas and more.

Next, advisors were charmed on one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, St. Barts. Hosted by the Le Sereno Hotel, advisors swam with sea turtles and explored the island by paddles boards and kayaks. They were accustomed to “Island Time” by the time they arrived at their final destination on Tortola- the largest of the British Virgin Islands. Top performers relaxed on one of many world-renowned beaches and went on a windsurfing adventure along the island’s southern coast before returning to the Azamara for their final few days.
