FIVE UNIQUE WEDDING VENUES IN RIVIERA NAYARIT

Consider Riviera Nayarit for clients looking to tie the knot in an exotic and secluded setting. Located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, the destination is home to a range of world-class luxury brands, family friendly all-inclusives, intimate boutique properties and everything in-between.

The following are five venues offering one-of-a-kind weddings for brides and grooms of all tastes and budgets:

For a locally inspired setting, there’s the W Punta de Mita (pictured above, courtesy of W Punta de Mita). The luxurious property’s design pays homage to Riviera Nayarit’s indigenous Huichol community. Couples can wed beachside, with a garden view, or at the hotel’s signature Camino Huichol walkway, with endless artistic decorations to choose from such as papel picado folk art, lucha libre masks and mariachi instruments.

For those looking for a cliffside location, the Relais & Chateaux property Imanta Resorts offers an exquisitely romantic and unspoiled wedding venue due to its unique location in the Sierra de Vallejo national biosphere reserve. Couples can tie the knot at Imanta’s cliffside Tukipa restaurant or, for a more traditional setting, the private beach glows with lanterns after sunset.

Meanwhile, those wanting an intimate island wedding can get wed on Playa del Amor in Banderas Bay, just off the coast of Riviera Nayarit. Offered exclusively to guests of Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, eloping couples are taken to Lover’s Beach by catamaran and joined by a minister to officiate.

Get hitched in the jungle at the eco-friendly boutique hotel Maraica, which is surrounded by jungle and home to a lush garden and palapa, an ideal venue for those who love nature. Weddings at Maraica’s garden can cater up to 200 guests and include banquet service with fresh local products.

Finally, clients wanting to feel ocean breezes as they say “I do” can opt for the oceanfront gazebo at the luxury all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta. Overlooking the region’s Banderas Bay, the gazebo can accommodate up to 50 guests. Smaller events such as welcome dinners, cocktail receptions and after parties can be hosted in the ballroom, outdoor terraces, beach or garden.

CABO RESORTS OFFER DIFFERENT WEDDING OPTIONS

Solmar Hotels & Resorts, which has seven all-suite properties in Los Cabos, has new wedding packages at their four most popular properties.

Whether it’s an intimate beachfront ceremony with a stunning Baja sunset at Playa Grande Resort & Spa, or a glamorous affair at Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas’ the garden, a “sensational wedding awaits couples who choose the Mexican hotelier for the treasured celebration,” the company says.

The packages by Solmar Hotels & Resorts’ wedding coordinators include the following elements: A judge for a legal ceremony or minister for a symbolic occasion, wedding bouquet and boutonniere arrangements with local seasonal flowers, and a 20% discount on spa services (products not included). While all celebrations at Solmar Hotels & Resorts are focused on the couple, the hotelier understands that not all brides and grooms are the same and, for that reason, they’ve launched the four wedding packages. They include the Paradise Package at Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa (US$2,399). Set in the secluded cove of Los Cabos’ Land’s End, the Paradise package offers couples the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean to proclaim their love. A runner of white fabric outlines the bride’s grand entrance and leads to a gazebo dressed in seasonal flowers overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The package also offers flexible beauty options, as the couple can pick between one makeup and hairstyle session or one deluxe manicure. The newlyweds will also be able to enjoy a 50-minute couple’s massage at the Sea Cabanas, perched on the slopes of Mt. Solmar.
