Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection and U River Cruises are celebrating parent company The Travel Corporation’s 100th anniversary in 2020 by offering travellers special savings on 2020 cruises.
For new bookings between Nov. 5 and Jan. 3, travellers can save up to 30% off select sailings across most itineraries and room categories.
“For 100 years, travel advisors have booked the companies of The Travel Corporation with supreme confidence, and Uniworld and U River Cruises are no exception. The tradition of excellence in hospitality established long ago by the Tollman family influences everything we do,” says Ellen Bettridge, president & CEO of Uniworld and U. “To honour that and celebrate with our loyal customers, we have created 100th Anniversary Celebration savings to give our guests the opportunity to experience our new Super Ships, itineraries and immersive programming at the best value for 2020.”
For example, clients can save 30% on Uniworld’s newest itinerary for 2020, Rhine, Moselle & Blissful Baden-Baden, a 12-day trip from Germany’s spa town of Baden-Baden to Frankfurt and cruise through the Moselle and Rhine rivers to the country’s oldest and quaintest villages. Avalon Waterways has unveiled five cruises – including three new itineraries – that invite travellers to Europe in 2020 during Holland’s colourful tulip season, when the crowds are small and the blooms are bountiful.
“Every year, the fields of Holland transform into a colourful wonderland of beauty,” said Pam Hoffee, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “It’s a spectacle every world traveller should try to witness upclose, at least once. And, in 2020, we’re giving our guests more opportunities to marvel at the beauty of those seven million blooms.”
In 2020, Avalon is unveiling a new eight-day Tulip Time in Holland & Belgium, new eight-day Tulip Time Highlights and 15-day Grand Tulip Cruise of Holland & Belgium itineraries.
Avalon’s Tulip Time in Holland & Belgium vacation begins in Amsterdam and ends in Brussels with opportunities to bike the river banks of Arnhem, take a guided walk through a mill and bake a local pie called a vlaai, spend time admiring ancient architecture in Namur, stroll through the romantic streets of the “Fiery City” of Liége, visit the Grote Markt in Antwerp, and meander along the Lower Town Streets of Brussels.
The river cruise company’s other new eight-day escape – Tulip Time Highlights – begins in Brussels with opportunities to explore the cobblestones, canals and cosmopolitan charisma of Ghent – or alternatively, Bruges – a “last post” ceremony in Bossuit, a guided walk of the Delta Works, time spent in Rotterdam, an immersion in Dutch history in Zaandam, tulips, tulips and more tulips in Haarlem, and ends with the sights of Amsterdam.
The 15-day Grand Tulip Time Cruise of Holland & Belgium combines both new cruise itineraries. Other itineraries include eight-day Tulip Time Cruise and Tulips of Northern Holland itineraries.
