Puzzling relief from Elora Fergus
April 20, 2020

In a time of social distancing when many are turning to puzzles to relieve boredom, Elora & Fergus Tourism is encouraging visitors to take part in The Puzzle Now, Visit Later contest.

Travellers who have been to Elora and Fergus before can re-live some of their favourite memories in a contest that will give them something fun to do while social distancing.

The Puzzle Now, Visit Later social media contest encourages people to share photos on Instagram or Facebook of the place they most look forward to revisiting in Elora Fergus after travel restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19 are lifted.

Winners will have their photos transformed into puzzles to keep busy while they plan their next visit.

“As soon as travel is deemed safe, we will have our arms wide open to welcome visitors back to our amazing community,” said Mayor of Centre Wellington, Kelly Linton. “However, before we can physically see you again, let’s re-live those memories virtually. I cannot wait to see all of the amazing memories that have taken place in Elora Fergus, get ready to puzzle now, and visit later!”

To enter the contest, Elora & Fergus Tourism is asking people to share a photo on Facebook or Instagram of the place they are most excited to revisit, tag @elorafergus and use the hashtag #eloraferguspuzzle.

Elora Fergus Tourism will randomly select winners on May 5th. Each winner will receive a puzzle bearing the likeness of their photo.

Located about 90 minutes from the Greater Toronto Area, the neighbouring villages of Elora and Fergus are popular for beautiful natural scenery along the Grand River, historic buildings, quaint downtowns and a variety of festivals, entertainment and activities.
