From luxurious overwater villas to a waterpark that makes a splash, these adjacent resorts have something for every type of client, even those with a sensual side…
All too often resorts claim to have something for everyone, but in the case of the newly opened Princess Senses the Mangrove and Princess Grand Jamaica, the adjacent 1,005-room resorts on Green Island truly do have something for every type of client.
For luxury travellers, there are spacious overwater villas. For those who desire the swim-out life, there are ample suites on both the adults-only side or the family-friendly side. For kids – or kids at heart – there’s a gigantic waterpark complete with multiple waterslides. And for those who are looking for a spicier stay, well, there’s that too. Here, you’ll find pleasure suites and an O’Club.
“It’s an exclusive section for clients seeking a more sensual experience,” shares leisure sales manager Jaimie Robinson. “In the suites, there is a romance kit, I like to call it a starter kit, with condoms, lubrication and a small vibrator.” Exclusive to guests staying in this section, there are dedicated areas for topless swimming and sun-bathing, and the suites come with mood lighting and mirrors above the bed.
But perhaps the most news-worthy point of all, the resort will be home to Jamaica’s first casino, slated to open before the end of the year.
Princess Senses the Mangrove is an adult-only, all-inclusive resort, with 401 ocean suites (including the pleasure suites) and 14 overwater villas. The resort features a rooftop infinity pool with a nightclub and a beachfront pool, eight bars including a swim-up bar, six restaurants including the buffet and four specialty restaurants. There are daily activities like music trivia and aqua fitness in the pool.
Princess Grand Jamaica is an all-inclusive, family-friendly resort with an aquatic park complete with water slides, a kids club, teens centre, nanny service and activities like tennis and water sports. There are 590 ocean-view suites ranging from swim out suites to connecting suites and two-bedroom family suites and master suites. There are seven bars, eight restaurants including a buffet, a food truck area, speciality dining and Platinum Club offerings. There’s also a convention centre for meetings and events. Even the fitness centre has an ocean view. The kids club offers everything from princess and pirate makeovers to cooking classes, catering to various ages and interests.
