Inside the newly renovated

Sun Palace Cancun

Palace Resorts has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of Sun Palace, the brand’s luxury adults-only resort located 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

The property reopened after undergoing extensive improvements and a complete transformation to its interiors and exteriors with a redesigned lobby, redesigned guest suites, new dining options, new modern décor to its common spaces, bars, and lounges, and more.

Exteriors were redesigned by Palace Resorts in-house architects, and modern aesthetics were brought to life in the interiors by the design team led by Claudia Ferreiro. The team created a fresh environment inspired by the textures of nature, with natural elements, sand tones, and earthy materials, creating a space that combines architecture and interior design with the powerful landscape and panorama of the Caribbean Sea.

“During the renovation of Sun Palace, lighting played a fundamental role in ensuring we created a warm, relaxed ambiance,” said Claudia Ferreiro. “The new look includes natural stone, marble, and wood sourced locally from the region, eluding to the richness and beauty of the environment. Our goal was to make guests feel relaxed and Zen.”

Sun Palace also features a 7,671 square-foot, full-service spa featuring eight treatment rooms, a relaxing hydrotherapy facility, a 2,501 square-foot fitness and wellness centre new top-of-the-line equipment. The luxury resort offers three infinity pools and more than 3,210 square feet of meeting space with two breakout rooms.
