Daring attraction gives people a bird's eye view
Adventure seeking clients can now embark on a thrilling adventure high above the Norwegian Fjords. Located in the village of Loen, Stigull is a newly opened attraction that features a long ladder that is said to give participants the feeling that they’re floating high up in the air.
“It looks like people are floating in thin air,” says Per Helge Bø, who developed the concept. “With 790 steps and a slope of 45 degrees, this is a long ladder to the sky by international standards. The location offers an incredible view of the fjord landscape.”
The first of its kind attraction is the latest addition to the Via Ferrata Loen, which is also home to a zipline, a sky lift and multiple assisted climbing experiences.
“This is an adrenaline-filled experience for all climbing enthusiasts. The ladder has a relatively low difficulty level but feels very airy, so the sense of accomplishment is great when climbing this stage,” Bø continues.
Upon reaching the top of Mount Hoven clients will be able to access a restaurant and shop connected to the cable car.
“This new installation emphasizes our ongoing commitment to offering unique and exciting experiences in spectacular surroundings. We encourage all adventure seekers to try Stigull and get a truly unique fjord experience,” Bø notes.
