AMR™ Collection is offering a host of resorts in a host of destinations for those wanting to tie the knot under a tropical sun.
The company held a recent webinar for travel agents in this country, outlining what is available for agents who have clients wanting to get married in either Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, St. Martin, St. Lucia or Curaçao.
“At Secrets, we love to celebrate love,” said a representative of Secrets in Jamaica.
AMR™ Collection has two Secrets resorts in Montego Bay, and one Breathless and one Zoëtry property.
“We’re here and we can’t wait to welcome your guests,” the representative added.
Webinar viewers were also told that only guests at the Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica have access to its beach through the resort itself or by the ocean, with the limited access creating a more intimate beach.
Ninety per cent of resort rooms are bungalow-style, which the resort says creates a more private and romantic ambiance.
The resort only hosts one wedding a day, allowing it to focus entirely on that wedding.
AMR™ Collection also offers the Dreams Las Mareas in Guanacaste, which has one of the “largest beaches in Costa Rica” and can host weddings and cocktail receptions on the beach.
The resort can customize weddings. A resort representative praised the setting.
“Costa Rica is not just about the beach. It’s (also) about the beauty of nature.”
Clients opting for Panama can stay at the Dreams Playa Bonita, found on the Caribbean coast near Panama City. Wedding venues include an “elegant ballroom” and a restaurant with an outdoor terrace.
Guests can also spot ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal in the distance.
Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino will host indoor and outdoor weddings and those on hand for the ceremonies will see “spectacular sunsets” during their stays, a resort representative said.
Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino in turn is happy to accommodate different wishes from those planning on getting married there.
“Here in Curaçao, everything is possible,” a resort official told those watching the webinar.
Jose Castillo of Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa said that his destination has a distinguishing characteristics.
“What makes St. Martin special is the fact that it is the culinary capital of the Caribbean. The French influence is very noticeable in the destination,” he continued.
AMR™ Collection also decided to establish a presence in St. Lucia, with one resort official stating the property is in “one of the most stunning bays in the Caribbean” and offers guests “breathtaking vistas.”
St. Lucia is the “ultimate romantic island,” the official added.
