WESTJET DREAMLINER TAKES OFF FOR MAUI
WestJet’s 787 Dreamliner is now taking travellers between Calgary and Maui.
“As the Canadian carrier with the most flights to Hawaii, we’re providing a superior experience for our guests flying across the Pacific this winter,” said Arved von zur Muehlen, WestJet chief commercial officer. “WestJet is the first to offer scheduled Dreamliner service to Maui, and we’re confident guests will enjoy their travel experience on board our Dreamliners, as they head to and from Hawaiian paradise.”
During peak season, WestJet will operate 22 weekly flights between Western Canada and Maui and up to 28 weekly flights between Vancouver and Honolulu, Lihue and Kona.
The WestJet Dreamliner features 320 seats in three cabins: Business, Premium and Economy.
OAHU DISTILLERY NOW OFFERING TOURS
Oahu’s Ko‘olau Distillery has launched new whiskey tours in which guests can learn more about the crafting of its Old Pali Road Whiskey.
“We have had a lot of requests to visit our working distillery and are now delighted to welcome guests to share our story and experience our unique whiskey-making process,” Ko‘olau Distillery co-founder and CEO Eric Dill.
Guests take a six-step journey through the entire whiskey-making process, beginning with an introduction to the local ingredients used and how they contribute to Old Pali Road Whiskey’s unique flavour. Next, guests learn about mashing, fermenting, distilling and aging, before bottle filling and labelling by hand. The tour ends with a whiskey tasting.
Tours are only available to adults 21 years and older and cost US$20. All tours include the guided six-step interactive experience with an Old Pali Road Whiskey tasting and souvenir glass.

HALEPUNA WAIKIKI WELCOMING GUESTS
Formerly the Waikiki Parc Hotel, the Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani is now welcoming guest following a multi-million-dollar transformation to offer 284 guest rooms and four suites with Pacific Ocean views.
The luxury boutique hotel’s design is complemented by local artwork sourced in collaboration with the Honolulu Museum of Art.

HAL INVITES TRAVELLERS TO DISCOVER THE ALOHA SPIRIT
Travellers looking to experience the exotic ways of Hawaii have numerous Holland America Line (HAL) cruises to choose from between this fall and spring 2020.

KAUAI TOUR GOOD TO THE LAST DROP
Kaua‘i Coffee Company’s new farm tour escorts guests, via open-air truck, down the red-dirt roads of its plantation, home to more than four million coffee trees.
During the two-hour tour, guests learn about the production of coffee from seed to cup, including how trees are planted and how coffee is grown and manufactured.
Guests on the tour are also offered an inside look at plantation operations and a chance to plant a coffee tree. The farm tour ends with a cup of coffee grown, harvested and roasted on the estate.
