Exotik Journeys recently wrapped an exclusive FAM trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with 10 Canadian travel agents from Sept. 17-25. Travel Courier caught up with Emilie Prudhomme, product manager Asia & Middle East for Exotik Journeys to learn more about the trip and the experiences that await clients in UAE.
Tell us about the FAM trip and where you went? What was the itinerary?
Our Exotik Journeys FAM trip to the stunning United Arab Emirates took us on an unforgettable journey through both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Accompanying our two team members, Jennipher Santa Cruz (Business Development Manager for Quebec) and Mylène Melançon (FIT and Planning Coordinator), were ten enthusiastic Canadian travel agents. The itinerary was rich with experiences, featuring luxurious 5-star accommodations and unique activities from start to finish.
A key highlight of this FAM trip was the incredible accessibility of the UAE, thanks to our airline partner, Air Canada. With daily non-stop flights to Dubai from Toronto and seasonally from Vancouver, visiting this bucket-list destination has never been easier for Canadians, whether you’re planning an extended stay or simply using it as an exciting stopover on your travels.

What were some of the highlights?
The highlights of the trip were truly spectacular. Agents marvelled at the allure of Dubai, visiting iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa’s Sky Level and experiencing the magic of the evening fountain show. They also explored the more traditional side of Dubai, taking an Abra ride and visiting the vibrant, bustling Souks. And, of course, no trip would be complete without an exhilarating desert safari.
In Abu Dhabi, participants enjoyed a laid-back yet authentic atmosphere while exploring architectural wonders such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Watan (the Presidential Palace). They even had the opportunity to enjoy a serene Park Tour at Jubail Mangrove Park, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the region.
What do you hope the agents took away from this experience?
We hope the agents walked away with the understanding that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not distant dreams but rather accessible destinations that offer travellers unique and enriching experiences.
