Ski Butlers helps skiers select proper rental gear
The Fairmont Tremblant says its latest partnership is a fitting one. The hotel, found at Quebec’s Tremblant ski resort, has teamed up with Ski Butlers, which provides skiers with rental skis and ski boots during their stays that it says will be perfectly suited for them.
Fairmont Tremblant spokesman Natalie Johnson says Ski Butlers staff will be found in her hotel and be able to assist guests on the ski hill as well from Nov. 22 through mid-April, working from 7a.m to 8 p.m.
“Each technician receives special training in specialized fitting and of course guest service,” reports Johnson, who adds that those guests are contacted 48 hours before their arrival to set a Ski Butlers appointment.
They initially contact Ski Butlers through its skibutlers.com web site, providing such information as ski boot size.
“Ski Butlers meets the guest in their guestroom – always with two pairs of boots for options. They will also bring the skis to show
the guest,” Johnson continues, adding those skis are adorned with a print of the Tremblant’s topography.
“Skis are then brought back to the ski valet and secured for the guest to avoid handling and carrying from the room. Boots and helmet are left with the guest.”
Ski Butlers — which likes to boast that “renting equipment has never been so easy” — is now found in 50 prominent North American and European ski resorts, with its web site promising clients can use “top-notch Rossignol equipment.”
France-based Rossignol has long been a household name in skiing circles.
Johnson — who labels Fairmont Tremblant the “top luxury resort on the mountain” — says her property reaches out to guests in other ways.
“Although they are not called butlers, we do have Fairmont Gold Concierges,” she says. “Fairmont Gold offers a uniquely personalized hotel within a hotel experience. Meanwhile, Johnson states that Tremblant-bound schussers should certainly consider her resort when choosing their lodging.
“Fairmont Tremblant has the best location for skiers,” she states. “With ski-in, ski-out access, Ski Butlers service, ski valets and the best après-ski activations on the resort, there is no better place.”
