Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sets its sights on La Paz

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is expanding into the Mexican State of Baja California Sur and its capital city La Paz with Fairmont La Paz Puerta Cortés Resort and Residences. The property is scheduled to debut in 2023.

Fairmont is one of the first luxury hotel brands to announce development in La Paz, which is emerging as  a desirable resort locale in Mexico. The destination’s old-world charm and stunning location along the Sea of Cortés makes it a natural fit for the Fairmont brand. Fairmont La Paz Puerta Cortés Resort and Residences will be located within the exclusive Puerta Cortés resort community, which is set on 550 acres of environmentally protected coastal lands.

“Fairmont La Paz Puerta Cortés marks a significant milestone in Accor’s growth in Mexico and will be an  exceptional addition to Accor’s luxury portfolio as the Group continues to expand its presence in North  America,” said Heather McCrory, CEO, Accor North & Central America. “Fairmont has a rich legacy  dating back more than 100 years, welcoming travellers to iconic destinations around the world and  celebrating meaningful connections to the local cultures and communities in which our hotels reside.  Fairmont La Paz Puerta Cortés will continue this tradition as we develop an experience that immerses travellers in the natural beauty and rich heritage of La Paz.”
