Edinburgh’s first cocktail domes to arrive this fall
August 16, 2019

YTL Hotels’ The Glasshouse Hotel, located in the heart of Edinburgh, report the city’s first cocktail domes on the hotel’s two-acre rooftop garden will arrive in time for Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2019.

Scotland’s biggest cocktail festival returns to Edinburgh from Oct. 14-20. The Glasshouse Hotel is partnering with Edinburgh Cocktail Week this year and will debut the fully transparent pop-up domes, which will offer visitors exclusive access to panoramic views of Edinburgh’s iconic skyline while sipping on a signature cocktail.

Each dome will comfortably seat eight festival goers and will be styled with sofas, blankets, rugs and fairy lights to create a cozy setting whatever the weather. Table service will be available for visitors booking the domes, so sampling the creative cocktails couldn’t be easier. Six domes will be available for two-hour bookings and an additional two domes will always be available for lucky walk-in wristband holders during the week-long event.

Edinburgh Cocktail Week’s Cocktail Village returns to the city’s Festival Square for another year, offering a new enchanted Cocktail Forest themed extension, 19 pop-up bars, live music and an outdoor seating area. Cocktail enthusiasts wishing to enjoy signature drinks at 70 of Edinburgh’s finest cocktails bars are invited to buy wristbands at the official ECW website.

The Glasshouse Hotel’s bespoke Edinburgh Cocktail Week recipe is created by its artistic bar team to reflect the unique and creative everyday menu at the hotel. Entry to The Glasshouse’s Rooftop Garden is free with an ECW wristband, and visitors are also welcome to experience the garden itself – described as one of Edinburgh’s hidden gems.

Alongside the two-acre rooftop garden, the 77-boutique bedrooms at The Glasshouse offer guests an elegant and sophisticated place to relax following a long day exploring what Edinburgh has to offer.
