The Riviera Maya’s Desire resort has a strict undress code.
The all-inclusive resort allows guests to doff their clothes around the likes of the pool and the Jacuzzi, says resident manager Miguel Peinada-Saban, but that wouldn’t be tolerated in a resort restaurant, for instance, with clothing required in that type of venue.
“It’s sensual, not sexual,” Peinada-Saban says of his adults-only property, while acknowledging that the resort isn’t for everyone.
Among entertainment is what is billed as Sexy Uniforms Thursday, while the resort noted that October — a month that includes Halloween — had it promoting Tricks and Erotic Treats.
“Our edgy entertainment is what makes our all-inclusive resort not only different but daring, seven days a week, 365 days a year,” the resort states. “We combine hot and spicy with racy and risqué.”
Desire guests will find a choice of swimming pools and six restaurants and six bars.
A resort spa offers such standard treatments as facials but also the likes of “lovers’ massages.”
Guests will also find a beauty salon.
Different types of accommodations are available, including swim-up suites.
Meanwhile, Peinada-Saban says those who stay at Desire won’t likely confuse it with other Riviera Maya properties they may have previously stayed at, adding Desire is certainly distinctive.
“It’s a different concept,” he states.
