Tropicana Los Cabos

The freshly renovated and relaunched Tropicana Los Cabos will open its doors in August in San Jose del Cabo. The Mexican hacienda-inspired boutique hotel is steps away from art galleries, swimmable beaches, biking routes and the San Jose del Cabo Harbour. The 70-room property is also located within 20 minutes of Los Cabos International Airport.

Originally built in 1956 as Tropicana Inn, the hotel and restaurant were once operated by a well-known local family and served as a landmark social connection point for Josefinos and visitors alike. Now, the new Tropicana Los Cabos seeks to retain that same spirit of hospitality and community while providing contemporary amenities and serving as a meeting place for both locals and modern travellers seeking relaxation, authentic cultural connection, and a wide spectrum of outdoor adventure.

The reimagined property will feature 68 guest rooms and two suites, the Tropicana Pool Bar and two distinct dining options. Tropicana Los Cabos will feature a wellness centre offering a full menu of services including Tibetan bowl singing, guided meditation, massage services, and classes on the outdoor yoga terrace, along with a game room including a pool table and boardgames, an outdoor hot tub and heated pool, and complimentary bicycles to ride around town. Other unique guest services will include bespoke excursions and activities, such as downtown e-bike and walking tours, eco-adventure tours including boating and whale watching, Latin dance classes, and hands-on culinary workshops that will teach guests how to make ceviche, tortillas, guacamole, salsa, and craft cocktails with distilled spirits.
