Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort has opened its doors in the UAE. Situated on a private peninsula with golden sands and natural mangroves, the 174-room resort features an infinity pool with a backdrop of the Hajar Mountains and views of the Arabian Sea. A range of accommodations are available, including contemporary and spacious guest rooms and suites located in the main building or set within traditional riads. The resort also introduces Maldivian-inspired luxury to Ras Al Khaimah, with the emirate’s first over water villas.
Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos, a new all-inclusive luxury resort that cost $50 million to build, is now open. The boutique hotel offers 79 suites, all over 900 sq. ft. with a living area complete with sofa, walk-in shower, and two queens or one king size bed. The new beachfront property features innovative spa treatments inspired by Mexican culture, a two star Michelin consulting chef with creative dining experiences, an expansive wine selection, a Technogym fitness centre, an infinity pool and a private beach area. This marks Velas Resorts’ third property in Los Cabos, complementing the family-friendly Grand Velas Los Cabos and Mar del Cabo by Velas Resorts, an adults-only boutique hotel.
Following a seasonal closure, Amanyara reopened recently after completing a refurbishment of its communal spaces, including its reception, entryway, restaurants and Beach Club. The luxury resort in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos also enhanced three of its luxury private villas. Villa 14 now boasts a private yoga pavilion and meditative water feature, Villa 8 has added a luxurious hot tub and fire pit and Amanyara’s signature villa, the Artists Villa, is home to a new private world-class wellness and fitness area. This includes a state-of-the-art gym complete with Peloton bikes, a TRX system, a Pilates Reformer machine and a multi-station home gym.
Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is undergoing an extensive transformation to create new culinary experiences and expand the Aqua Nick waterpark. Phase one of the updates will be unveiled in spring, with the opening of two new offerings: the Snick Lounge, a 90s-inspired space with an arcade game room, sports lounge, and live music venue; and The Sweetery, a haven for coffee lovers and ice cream enthusiasts inspired with cartoonish touches. Throughout 2024, additional resort enhancements will include in-room art updates and character-themed culinary experiences. Aqua Nick, the resort’s waterpark, will include a new main entry, two pools with a slide tower, restrooms, splash games, and sun beds with large umbrellas.
