Checking out the latest hotel and resort news from fresh renovations to brand new or upcoming properties to entice your clients. 

Ardo Townsville

The AUD$88 million Ardo Hotel is the first five-star luxury waterfront hotel to open in Townsville, Australia. With high-end accommodations across 132 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a day spa, and a rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views out to Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea, the new upscale property elevates North Queensland’s hotel offering.

Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort  

Making its debut in Spain, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has opened the doors to a five-star resort in the Canary Islands. Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort features 284 elegantly renovated guest rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. To be launched in March, the resort’s Anantara Spa will have 12,917 square feet of outdoor and indoor facilities, with ten treatment rooms, a vitality indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and an ice igloo to refresh and rejuvenate.

Ka Laʻi Waikīkī Beach

Honolulu-bound travellers can check into the 462-room Ka La’i Waikīkī Beach, marking the debut of LXR Hotels & Resorts in Hawai’i. The property spans 38 storeys and features residential-style guest rooms and suites; a wellness facility; a 24-hour fitness centre; an infinity pool with sun deck; five indoor and outdoor venues and event spaces; two signature restaurants as well as in-room dining and in-suite chef services; a variety of beach services and amenities; and a 24-hour business centre and library. Scheduled to begin in early 2025 and planned in phases over several months, a renovation will see upgrades to guest rooms and suites, and public areas.

Thompson Houston

Featuring unobstructed views of the city’s skyline, Thompson Houston is now open. The luxury lifestyle hotel features 172 guestrooms, including 34 suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a residential feel designed to evoke the spirit of old Texas, with custom-made furnishings and spacious en-suite bathrooms with marble vanities and custom wall treatments and tiling. The new-build hotel overlooks the verdant Buffalo Bayou Park.
