Following a fresh facelift, The Elandra at Mission Beach has re-launched with the first 20 revamped villas. A further 12 two-level apartments, each with private plunge pools, are scheduled to open soon. Perched atop a peninsular overlooking the Coral Sea and hidden amongst six hectares of private tropical rainforest, the boutique resort is located in the heart of Tropical North Queensland, Australia.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts luxury & lifestyle portfolio, has opened its first boutique hotel in Mexico City. Kimpton Virgilio, located in the Polanco neighbourhood, features 48 rooms. The property has a street-side restaurant called Pepe: Mesa Española, serving up modern Iberian food.
Clients looking to sleep under the stars without compromising on comfort can try out the new luxury glamping experience at Skamania Lodge in the Pacific Northwest.
The glamping accommodations blend the charm of camping with the sophistication of a first-class resort with a king-sized bed with fluffy pillows, luxurious bedding, and 300-thread count sheets – in a tent protected from the elements.
The accommodations offer a separate bathing tent with a full-size bathtub and shower, coffee and hot chocolate bar, private outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs, cozy hooded robes, s’more making and more.
Just in time for March Break, Baha Mar, the sprawling resort in The Bahamas, has expended its family-friendly offerings with The Game Zone, a new arcade with interactive games and experiences.
Featuring more than 50 games to choose from, The Game Zone is designed to challenge, entertain and spark competitive fun among kids, tweens, teens and their families while on vacation.
A few signature games include: World’s Largest PAC-MAN, a big take on the traditional game; Space Invader Frenzy, the newest iteration of this historic arcade game; Air Hockey, a classic favourite amongst adults and children; Hungry Hungry Hippo, a beloved board game classic taken to a whole new level and Virtual Rabbids, an exciting VR experience for all-ages.
