To strengthen its network and provide enhanced support, Globus has invested in a refreshed leadership structure. Denise Harper has been promoted to managing director, Canada sales, overseeing national and regional partnerships at the head office and consortia levels.
In addition, reporting to her, Billy Stewart has been named national trade sales manager, taking full accountability for Canada’s Business Development Manager (BDM) team.
To further support Canadian trade partners, the Globus family of brands recently announced that it had expanded its field team with the addition of two, new BDMs: Gina Goranson (British Columbia) and Elaine French(Ontario), bringing the total to seven BDMs serving partners nationwide.
Norwegian Cruise Line has appointed Derek Lloyd as vice-president, Strategic and National Accounts, succeeding Brennan Quesnele who will become senior vice president of Sales at Oceania Cruises effective Feb. 24, 2025.
Lloyd will now be stepping into the role and be responsible for driving National Account Sales with various travel partners and accounts in the U.S. and Canada.
With more than 30 years of experience in the cruise industry and almost 25 years with Norwegian Cruise Line, he most recently served as vice president of Field Sales for North America, where he was responsible for the Company’s sales strategy and cultivation of key partner relationships.
Shane Downey has been appointed to the position of Managing Director for the Chelsea Hotel Toronto. Downey brings a wealth of experience in large hotel operations as well as a very broad experience having worked in 5-star luxury, select-service and extended stay hotels for over 20 years.
He joins the Chelsea Hotel from his most recent position as General Manager for the Delta Hotel, Toronto, Delta’s Global Flagship Brand Hotel. Prior to that he was Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto.
Esther Roemmele, a seasoned leader and long-time member of the Nexion team, is taking on the role of Director of Canadian Operations, managing daily operations for Nexion Canada. She previously served as Director of Member Services.
Meanwhile, Jackie Friedman, President of Nexion Travel Group, has now absorbed Mike Foster’s role as President of Nexion Canada, and Jenny Lloret will take on the role of Supervisor for Member Services.
Jeff Carpenter has returned to TravelBrands to take on the newly created role of Strategic Account Manager.
One of the key focuses of this role is to provide enhanced support to home-based consortium accounts, in a role that was designed to enhance TravelBrands’ positioning with retail partners across Canada. In this role, he will work closely with select TravelBrands’ retail partners to provide tailored solutions, identify growth opportunities, and ensure they receive the highest level of support.
Carpenter has more than 20 years of industry experience, including most recently as Strategic Account Manager for Royal Caribbean International and previously worked for TravelBrands as the Business Development Manager for Western Canada.
Trevello World Holdings Inc. has announced veteran travel executive, former Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) president and CEO, Andy Stuart as co-chairman and co-founder. Prior to joining Trevello World Holdings, Stuart served as a board member of Trevello Canada, a division of Trevello World Holdings.

Caroline Belgrave is the new business solutions manager for Western Canada at Travel Leaders Network. Baxter Media has appointed Patti Freedman as its new account executive for Hawaii. Freedman is the founder of Honolulu, Hawaii-based Holoholo Consulting which provides a range of advertising, marketing and media services for its clients. The company also has an office in Vancouver, B.C.
Freedman’s appointment is effective immediately and she will report to Baxter Media publisher, Mitchell McClung.

As an accomplished sales leader, Roles brings an impressive career spanning North American and international markets, with extensive expertise in travel sales and marketing, and a strong network of industry relationships to Aurora’s North American sales team.
Roles had held leadership roles in adventure travel with companies like On The Go Tours and Intrepid Travel.
Peter Ouzounov has been promoted to senior director of sales, Canada for Riverside Luxury Cruises as part of an expansion of the company’s North American sales and marketing team, with four new hires and several promotions. Ouzounov previously served as the director of sales, Canada.
Eva Damato has taken on the role of senior director, luxury lifestyle marketing for Travel Leaders Network. She will be responsible for overall strategy and growth of the Luxury Leaders Alliance, Travel Leaders’ community for top-selling luxury sellers. Additionally, she will serve as an expert resource for luxury-focused suppliers and members and advise the executive team on the latest trends and issues in the luxury travel marketplace.
Damato joins the team from Seabourn Cruise Line, where she was senior manager of national & strategic accounts, regularly engaging with the Luxury Leaders Alliance at events and providing guidance to members. Before Seabourn, she steered the domestic leisure division at Discover the Palm Beaches and held various roles at the luxury hotel The Breakers Palm Beach.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has promoted Amelie Dubois to the position of director of sales & marketing, Canada. Dubois will lead the sales and marketing strategy for the Canadian market, while bolstering relationships with travel advisors. Her appointment follows the retirement of Beverley Vickers, who formerly held the post. Dubois previously held the title of district sales manager national accounts.
