A look at how ACV allows clients to explore Greece at their own pace

It’s never too early to think about summer travel… next summer, that is!
While most of your clients have likely locked in their Euro-trip plans for this year, Air Canada Vacations is already looking ahead to bookings for summer 2024.
Although there are some spots still open for sizzling destinations like Greece this fall, Matthew Djorsev, Manager, National Accounts, at ACV, told a recent Toronto gathering that “booking early is key.”
“In Greece, we offer over 30 tours. All of our tours start in Athens. We have direct service out of Montreal and Toronto into Athens. We have over 28 summer tours, and new this year, we have two winter tours available from November to March” he said. “All of our tours range from six to 14 days, and cover all the top destinations in Greece.”
Djorsev recently embarked on the 10-day Best of Greece itinerary, which unlike the set schedule with many tour operators, leaves a lot of time for travellers to explore on their own while key elements like hotels, flights, transfers, and ‘More Moments’ excursions or activities, are all included.
“At Air Canada Vacations we strive to create authentic experiences for our travellers so they can experience the best of every city or place through our tours, suggestions, and excursions,” said Melissa Iantosca, Manager, Corporate Communications at ACV. “We found that the travellers of today are looking for real and immersive experiences. From the places that they choose to stay in to the restaurants that they eat in or the tours that they embark on, everything needs to have a little bit of a focus on authenticity.”
During the event, attendees learned about four destinations on ACV’s 13-day Cycladic Explorer itinerary — Athens, Paros, Santorini and Ios — while tasting food and flavours from each at different stations set up at Christina’s on the Danforth.
“Often referred to as the gem of the Mediterranean, this country has a wonderful combination of world-famous islands, white-washed houses, sparkling blue oceans, UNESCO sites, stunning landscapes and warm and welcoming locals,” Iantosca said. “Greece is the ultimate holiday destination full of sunshine, surrounded with beautiful beaches, as well as unforgettable and iconic sunsets.”
Describing planning a trip as a “full time job,” Iantosca said ACV itineraries remove all the guesswork for clients and make trip planning easy for agents making the booking.
Overall, over 120 tours across different travel styles are on offer in Europe with ACV. Flight and cruise packages are also available.
Along with Iantosca and Djorsev, Veronica Grimaldi, Director, Marketing and Brand Communications was also on hand for the event.
