Come together! A travel industry reunion at #AgentsChoice 2022

Welcome back!
Baxter Media’s Agents’ Choice Awards Gala led to a lively reunion of travel industry personnel who had long been kept apart by a lingering pandemic.
And those attending the glittery Toronto affair were clearly appreciative of the opportunity to renew contact with others in travel.
Lessner Gomez, who oversees the Cuba Tourism Board’s Toronto office, was quick to label the gala an “awesome party.”
The gala came at a time of rebounding interest in traveling in this country, with Gomez reporting that Canadians are “excited” about visiting Cuba.
Meanwhile, Gomez is looking ahead to another major development.
“We can’t wait to celebrate the Baxter Media 75th anniversary next year, an extraordinary milestone for a remarkable company that has managed to remain relevant in a changing market throughout so many decades,” he said. “Baxter Media has been a reliable partner for Cuba and we’re very grateful to the entire Baxter Media team.”
“We got to see and be with all of our colleagues. Baxter brings everyone together,” added Aeromexico’s Michele Martinson, at a table that included Aeromexico colleague Cesar Alvarenga and the Los Cabos Tourism Board’s Monica Garcia.
FlyGTA Airlines CEO Chris Nowrouzi welcomed the chance to once again meet industry counterparts after having been kept apart for a long period.
“I’m really happy to attend this event. Congrats to all,” he said.
Steven Johnson, general manager of Grand Bahama Development, Bahamas Ministry ofTourism, was “very impressed… This brings everyone together again.”

An evening that brought together a large cross-section of the travel industry won over The Travel Corporation’s Jenni Berg.
“What a great time to celebrate together,” she said.
“How nice it (the event) feels after the last two years,” added Berg’s coworker Justine Sawler.
Pat Probert of Bob Family Travel said it was “awesome” to reconnect with others in travel.
“Seeing people that came from far and wide was such a great feeling,” he said, adding that the “travel industry is coming back stronger than ever.”
Probert added being with Agents’ Choice Awards category winners was inspiring. “Lots of the winners were the companies we are dealing with on a regular basis so it is good to know we are dealing with the best,” he added.
