Some itineraries will have a 'concierge' joining guests

African Travel, Inc. is bringing a North American touch to some of its African safaris. The company is introducing Concierge Safaris, which has participants on some escorted tours accompanied by what’s described as a U.S.-based travelling concierge. That staffer will handle all the trip logistics, address any requests, and “ensure a seamless and unforgettable adventure,” The Travel Corporation brand continues.

The new trip style also features luxury accommodations throughout the trip; most meals, including unique dining experiences; exclusive game viewing; sightseeing activities; and all gratuities are included.

African Travel, Inc. president Sherwin Banda says Canadian clients will appreciate the concierges.

“They have a deep understanding of what North American travellers require and also understand how the local destination operates, such as navigating local customs, traditions, language, and other local aspects,” Banda says.

“The concierge is there to ensure a seamless travel experience for our guests without taking away the truly immersive experience that local guides bring as they are intimately familiar with their destinations and can share hidden gems with our clients. The concierge is there to complement, not hinder, this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Escorted Safaris will be available in South Africa and Tanzania starting September.

“The local guide offers a local perspective, whereas the concierge understands local customs as well as cater to the specific needs of North American clients,” Banda says.

Banda highlights that style of travel is very unusual “because we are the only travel company that offers this in our space.”

The two new itineraries offering the travel style are Southern Explorer – Escorted and Best of Tanzania – Escorted. Banda says his company continuously reaches out to its clients.

“At African Travel, Inc., we are constantly evolving our experiences, focusing on the needs of our customers,” he says. “We actively listen to our clients to curate new, immersive, and unique experiences for the North American market. Our primary goal is to provide high-touch experiences for our clients, making it really easy to travel. African Travel is a one-stop-shop solution for our clients looking to travel to Africa in any way they desire.”

To celebrate the new tours, African Travel is offering travel advisors a $300 digital gift card incentive for every couple booked on its Escorted Safaris before March 31.
