A real agent booked destination wedding in Riviera Maya
March 30, 2022

After locking in their destination wedding date in 2019, Kaitlyn Alcott and Jordan Larsen were set to get married in 2020 — until a global pandemic and travel restrictions abruptly forced the pair to hit pause on their plans.

Even though some of her clients decided to give up on tying the knot in a tropical destination, travel advisor Tammi Ruffini says “this couple looked to the future to a time where their guests would feel comfortable travelling for their special day.”

Although it was over a year later than they initially planned, Kaitlyn and Jordan’s story has a happy ending as the pair got married at Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort, Mexico on Nov. 6, 2021.

“Kait and Jordan were such a pleasure to work with during this process,” says Ruffini, the owner of Envision Travel with Nexion Canada. “The process of rescheduling a destination wedding during COVID wasn’t always easy, but having a couple who were patient and understanding made it even more worthwhile when it was completed.”

Words from the bride:Our day was magical and worth the wait, to keep it short and sweet. We originally booked in 2019 for a 2020 wedding, unfortunately we had to postpone due to the pandemic and travel restrictions until 2021. Tammi was wonderful throughout the whole process, helped all of our guests book and then rebook their trips. Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness resort went above and beyond making my dream a reality. Best day of our lives.
