Royal Uno readies to welcome travellers in 2022

Set to open February 28, 2022, Royal Uno All Inclusive Resort & Spa is a new beachfront project by Royal Resorts in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

The 540 room and suite resort features four bars, five restaurants, two oversized pools, a children’s pool with a water play area, a spa, a kids club and much more.

“We promise an ‘authentic Cancún’ experience for guests of all ages that alludes to a history of pioneering and evolution, with the perfect blend of vibrant and modern design in tranquil surroundings,” Efrain Canto, the resort’s newly appointed General Manager, tells Travel Courier. “Designed to be a hotel of the sea, the resort is strategically located on the best beach in Cancún, with a front-row seat to the picturesque Mexican Caribbean.”

For guests looking to immerse themselves into the local culture, Canto says there are lots of opportunities to get a feel for what the destination has to offer.

“On property, guests can dine at Palotinte, the resort’s traditional Mexican cuisine restaurant serving up a true taste of Mexico through a world of flavours, like the eternal trio of corn, agave and chili,” he says. “Guests can also splash in or lounge on the beach to witness an authentic Mexican sunset, making the most of the resort’s idyllic location on one of Cancún’s finest beaches in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone, or stroll through the resort to see architectural features representing days of Cancun’s past.”

Kids will have the chance to learn about Maya culture and take part in creative activities while learning about Balam the Jaguar, the Uno Kids emblem that pays tribute to the Yucatan’s iconic jungle-dwelling big cat.

Meanwhile, adults will have plenty of opportunities to take part in fun activities, too.

“They can join a Spanish class and test their knowledge of music, movies, and Mexico with fun quizzes or take part in a Mexican cooking or mixology class, and show their moves in salsa, merengue, and bachata dance lessons,” he says.

There is currently an early bird special being offered with savings for bookings made through Nov. 1, which agents can also take advantage of through GDS.

“We are offering an early bird special with a 30% discount, plus a 20% commission,” he says. “We have great promotions planned until the end of the year and leading up to the resort’s grand opening and high commissions.”

For clients looking to celebrate a special occasion or honeymoon, an option to consider is the Romance Suites with jacuzzis. There are 13 ground-floor beachfront suites with plunge pools.
