Discover what awaits at an all new luxury all-inclusive resort in Barbados

A new five-star all-inclusive luxury boutique hotel is opening on the South Coast of Barbados in October. O2 Beach Club & Spa, by Barbadian family-owned company Ocean Hotels Group, is located along Dover Beach and will feature 130 rooms and suites.

“It is truly the newest ultimate luxury all-inclusive in the Eastern Caribbean,” Elaine Carnegie, President, Canlink Travel, who represents the hotel in Canada, tells Travel Courier. “Luxury in a comfortable, trendy setting.”

After months of transforming the previous Ocean Two Resort & Residences and expanding the property with 42 new ocean view and oceanfront suites, the new resort will offer three distinct Collections: Club, Luxury and Concierge.

“Honestly, it really does appeal to everyone because we have various room and suite categories and collections within the hotel,” says Carnegie. “The Luxury Collection for adults only and a great option for Canadians is the Concierge Collection with suites offering a full-size kitchen, which give guests the unusual opportunity for self-inclusive. They can create their own experience and be at this luxury all inclusive at the same time!”

The property has a variety of amenities like three pools, including one of the only rooftop pools on the island; six dining experiences; seven bars; a 5,600-square foot, full service Acqua spa; a fully equipped fitness centre; and a teen lounge for young adults to have their own space.

“There is something new and exciting in the luxury market in Barbados… and it happens to be on the South Coast,” says Patricia Affonso-Dass, Group General Manager, Ocean Hotels Group Barbados. “We are confident that O2 Beach Club and Spa will take centre stage in Barbados’ luxury hotel offerings, combining authentic personalized service with upscale accommodations and world class dining to create unforgettable experiences.”

As part of the resort’s new “Loyal Treatment” program for travel advisors, O2 will be offering 12 to 14 percent commission to travel advisors who book directly with the hotel, as well as a host of added amenities. Advisors are also recommended to sign up for the Ocean Hotels Rewards program, where they can earn points which can be put towards free nights. Advisors who sign up prior to July 15 have the chance to win a seven-night, five-star all-inclusive stay for two. O2 is available for bookings through Air Canada Vacations and WestJet Vacations.

The Club Collection will feature modern rooms offering king or twin beds with en-suite bathrooms complete with rainfall showers, while the Luxury Collection will be comprised of adult-only suites that offer contemporary design and private balconies with views of the Caribbean Sea. Options in the Luxury Collection include ocean view or ocean front suites, as well as swim-up rooms offering direct access to the adult-only river pool, where guests can also easily access H2O, O2 Beach Club & Spa’s new swim-up bar. The Concierge Collection will offer the ultimate indulgence, providing the luxury of space with one or two-bedroom suites with fully equipped designer kitchens. These unique residence-style suites truly lend themselves to the resort’s “your stay, your way” personalization concept.

Ocean Hotels Group also owns Sea Breeze Beach House and South Beach Hotel.

“I love that they really focus on the staff and team and work with their great personalities and train in the skills to their personalities and that they are a group of hotels with something for everyone.” says Carnegie. “It is also ideal that you can stay in O2 Beach Club & Spa and also go to Sea Breeze Beach House — another of Ocean Hotels’ Barbados properties. This allows a guest even more restaurants, another beach and more.”

The all-inclusive experience includes limitless access to the resort’s six dining experiences and seven bars, complimentary non-motorized water sports, a full activities program, and daily signature “how-to” classes, featuring topics such as how to prepare local recipes, how to play the steel pan drum, and how to play dominoes like a local, for guests to return from their travels with new skills and an authentic taste of local culture.

O2 Beach Club & Spa is currently accepting bookings online and by phone and will begin welcoming guests in October 2021. All-inclusive rates start at $444 per room per night for a Club Room and $888 per room per night for a Concierge Collection one-bedroom suite.
