For luxury clients heading to Helsinki, the newly opened The Hotel Maria has joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ prestigious Legend Collection. Featuring 117 rooms, including 38 suites, two restaurants, a grand ballroom, a chapel, a state-of-the-art spa, and a destination boutique showcasing jewelry of Faberge and Finnish designers, The Hotel Maria is the first hotel in the Nordics to offer a Wellness Concierge. The hotel offers personalized programs including specially tailored jet lag treatments and nutrition programs, a weekly Run Club, in-suite spa treatments, Spa Suites with private saunas or steam rooms and large soaking tubs.
Montana Lodge & Spa in La Thuile is one of two new Italian mountain retreats managed by R Collection. Located on the northern border of Italy between Switzerland and France, the five-star property features 55 rooms, two restaurants and a cellar housing 300 wine labels for intimate tastings. The ERRE SPA, a flagship feature of the Collection, offers an array of amenities including an indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath, Vitarium bio sauna, private spa area, and a gym with Technogym equipment.
Slated to open in 2026, Six Senses Xala will be set on five miles of a white-sand beach in the Jalisco region — a 20 minute flight from Puerto Vallarta. The hotel will feature 51 accommodations, all with private pools, ranging from beachfront and elevated guest rooms and suites to one- to three-bedroom villas.
RIU Hotels recently reopened Riu Palace Pacifico, located on the Playa de Flamingos beach in Nayarit, Mexico. Following a complete refurbishment of all the hotel’s facilities, the property is now adults-only. The renovation comes with new services for guests to increase the number of dining options and new packages for guests looking to take their holiday to the next level: Elite Club by RIU. With the refurbishment, common areas such as the lobby and reception have become more spacious and functional. Guests can enjoy the new location of the Lobby Bar, which is found in the centre of this area. The hotel’s 445 rooms have also been completely renovated and now feature soft, elegant tones and naturally lit areas to create a relaxing atmosphere.
There’s a new family-friendly option for guests interested in the DR with the debut of Sunscape Dominicus La Romana, the newest addition to the Inclusive Collection. The debut of the 854-room family-friendly resort marks the 16th Inclusive Collection property in the Dominican Republic and expands the Sunscape Resort & Spa brand’s presence in the destination following the recent opening of Sunscape Coco Punta Cana last month. The hotel is set on the sand beaches of Playa Dominicus.
