Quebec wilderness retreat Parc Omega is inviting people to bear with it.
The Montebello retreat is home to Suite des Loups et des Ours, found in an area that’s actually home to wildlife that includes both wolves and bears, which guests can easily view during their stays.
“To meet strong demand, Parc Oméga has added 13 new suites to its accommodation offering,” says park spokesperson Sonia Lamoureux, who notes visitors will be able to see the rocky Outaouais Mountains. “The new Wolf and Bear Suites provide an intimate opportunity to observe the natural interaction between young wolves and young bears, offering a panoramic view of their habitat — a genuine natural theatre! These accommodations promise a tranquil stay in a luxurious and contemporary setting, ensuring you experience unforgettable and exclusive moments that are truly unparalleled in North America.
“Staying in our new suites offers you a unique opportunity to witness the natural interaction between young wolves and bears up close. Additionally, park admission is complimentary when you book an overnight stay at Parc Oméga.
“These suites offer a close-up view of the natural coexistence between young wolves and young bears from multiple angles, thanks to their majestic panoramic windows overlooking the animals’ habitat.”
Visitors will also be able to see wildlife exploring the sprawling park, including caribou, deer, raccoons and beavers.
The park can be explored by vehicle and also has a hiking trail that wintertime visitors can use for snowshoeing.
Admission to the Parc Oméga is included with an overnight stay. All of the Parc Oméga’s activities are therefore accessible and can be found at www.parcomega.ca/les-services-et-les-activites-aux-hebergements/.
Among Parc Omega amenities is the OmégaBon restaurant, found on the shore of Lac des Oiseaux, and which provides what is billed as a gourmet experience infused with boreal flavours. “Influenced by diverse cultures, our refined cuisine features dishes crafted from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients,” adds the park.
Meanwhile, Lamoureux says people will be welcome to visit the retreat after winter’s onset.
“Parc Oméga is open every day of the year, including public holidays,” says. “The animals are not affected by the weather, and the landscape is breathtaking in every season. You can easily spot them, no matter the temperature. The only exception is the bears, as they hibernate and are not visible during the winter.”
