Calgary-area CanaDream has built a network from sea to shining sea for those eager to explore this country on their own and save money while stopping at different locales during their sojourns.

The company has stations in Vancouver, Whitehorse, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto and Halifax for those wanting to see parts of this sprawling land in a rented RV Edmonton is the newest station, having opened in April.

CanaDream offers seven vehicle types, among them the Maxi Travel Camper, which can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child, and the Deluxe Van Camper, which can accommodate 2 adults, and is seen as great for couples and small families. The Maxi Plus Motorhome in turn can host up to 7 guests and is suited for multi-generational family adventures.

And CanaDream says clients can still hit the road after fall weather comes to an end.

“CanaDream is the only RV company in Canada to offer winter-ready vehicles (the Maxi Motorhome), which keeps guests warm down to -30,” says Britta Gretzmacher, CanaDream Club manager. “Available at every station except Whitehorse (which is open May to September), guests can take an RV road trip through the winter months and stay cozy and comfortable, thanks to customized features, including a high-efficiency furnace, generator, four coach batteries, interior winter cab blanket and vent pillows, as well as insulated fresh water and heated waste tanks. Explore BC’s Powder Highway or Quebec’s Eastern Townships with all the comforts of your own ski-cabin-on-wheels.”

Gretzmacher adds that the “combination of wheels and accommodation provide the unique opportunity to explore Canada’s incredible wilderness with all the comforts of home. Explore at your own pace and in your own moveable space: hiking, biking, fishing and remote destinations are all accessible and affordable with CanaDream.”

She notes the vehicles differ in size, ranging from being able to sleep 2 to 3 guests (the Maxi Truck Camper), 4 guests (the Super Van Camper), 6 guests (the Maxi Motorhome) and 7 guests (Maxi Plus Motorhome)

A valid driver’s license is mandatory for those wanting to operate one of the RVs and drivers must be over 21 to “legitimately rent and operate a motorhome with the full confidence and knowledge of valid insurance coverage.” There is no maximum age limit.

Guests renting a CanaDream vehicle have access to the CanaDream Club, which offers access to more than 500 private campgrounds as well as offers and discounts from 1,800 tourism and attraction partners, while CanaDream’s trip planner tool showcases a range of itineraries that “make trip planning a breeze.”

CanaDream this year launched its online Festival Finder to help guests navigate Canada’s “fabulous festival scene. More than 140 festivals are featured on the website, covering a wide range of categories, including wellness, culture, food, music, rodeo and family fun.”

Viewers on CanaDream’s Festival Finder can easily search for a festival of their liking by season, location and interest, and then easily book their premium CanaDream festival ready RV through the website.
