A look at the latest hotel and resort news from fresh renovations to brand new properties and noteworthy packages. 

&Beyond Punakha River Lodge

Luxury travel company &Beyond is set to launch its first lodge in Asia, with &Beyond Punakha River Lodge scheduled to open in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan in September 2023. Situated on the banks of the Mo Chu River in the Punakha Valley, the lodge will feature six Safari-style tented suites, as well as a two-bedroom villa with a private pool and a one-bedroom villa, which features a plunge pool or hot tub, depending on the season. The hotel marks &Beyond’s debut in Asia with views of the Himalayas.

Goldwynn Resort & Residences  

For clients headed to The Bahamas, boutique island resort Goldwynn Resort & Residences is now open on Cable Beach in Nassau. The only Bahamian member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Goldwynn Resort pairs mid-century modern architecture with a nostalgic vibe of early Bahamian tourism from the mid-60s. The resort, located fifteen minutes from Linden Pindling International Airport, features 81 residential-style accommodations including studios, one- two- and three-bedroom suites, and three expansive Edge suites. The three-bedroom signature Goldwynn Suite offers 1,940 square feet of interior space, three balconies, two terraces and 270 degrees of unobstructed ocean views.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya

The adults-only Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma is set to open in Riviera Maya, Mexico on May 1 with 13 luxury suite types available like Beachfront Honeymoon Suites or Coral Reefer Suites complete with infinity pools. The 355 suite resort offers the first-ever Beachfront LandShark Brewery in Mexico serving refreshing lagers, smokehouse classics, and ongoing live music, and new dining options like Far Side Of The World – Pacific Rim Cuisine, inspired by the lyrics of Far Side of the World. Amenities include two pools and a 10,000-square-foot spa with nine relaxation rooms and a cutting-edge fitness centre.

Grand Hotel Bristol Spa Resort

Grand Hotel Bristol Spa Resort has reopened as a five-star hotel and a new member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Owned and managed by R Collection Hotels, the newly redesigned property along the Portofino coast offers features 80 rooms including 11 suites, scenic views of the Italian Riviera, the biggest hotel spa in Liguria, and multiple dining experiences including award-winning rooftop restaurant Le Cupole. A highlight of the hotel is the 22,000 square foot Erre Spa, which features state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment, multi-sensory areas and themed relaxation spaces like a turkish bath, an emotional shower, and a panoramic outdoor pool with views of the sea.
