Last month MSC Cruises debuted its latest flagship, MSC Seascape. Loaded with endless Instagram-worthy moments and thrilling entertainment, here’s a look at what sets the ship apart.
The Instagram-worthy features
From a glass skywalk floating above the ship that’s known as the Bridge of Sighs to another dazzling Swarovski staircase made from 50,000 crystals or the picturesque aft infinity pool, MSC Seascape is loaded with photo opportunities for guests to create many Instagram-worthy shots. Additional photo spots include a light tunnel that changes colour, a digital hot air balloon experience and the impressive four story high atrium.
Meet Robotron
If there’s one distinct feature to MSC Seascape, MSC Cruises’ country manager for Canada, Ian Patterson, says it’s the Robotron, which is part rollercoaster and part amusement ride. From 53 metres above the sea, guests will be able to take in views of the ship from new heights.
“I can’t say enough about it — every time I see a new Seaside class ship, we make it better,” he shared.
Let’s hear it for New York
With MSC Meraviglia set to homeport in New York and MSC Seascape in Miami, Patterson said the cruise line “will have power in the Northeast.”
“We have a lot of partners on board who are actually organizing bus trips to go to New York,” he said. “For Canadians, you no longer have to take a flight.”
Notably, MSC Seascape features touches of New York like a replica Times Square and a bar that’s adorned with a small Statue of Liberty.
Fun for all ages
Whether you’re a kid of a kid at heart, MSC Seascape has lots on offer in terms of entertainment, including a VR 360° Flight Simulator and an MSC Formula Racer.
Notably, MSC Seascape has dedicated spaces for kids ranging from as young as six to 36 months in the baby club, all the way up to a tweens club (12-14 year olds) and a teens club (15-17 years old) to meet the needs of the whole family.
