Diana and James started planning their destination wedding in November 2020 for September 2021 — and the celebration happened without any postponements. A large group of their family and friends travelled to the Dominican Republic to be part of the big day. 

“It ended up being the most fun and memorable three day celebration complete with a welcome party at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and a hangover Catamaran party the day after the wedding,” says Mahla Pourshamsa, Creative Director of Oakville, Ont. based The Eventeur. “A private wedding location was important to the bride and groom and Hyatt Ziva’s rooftop terrace checked off all boxes as the perfect setting for their reception.”
