Hotel of the week: Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski Cuba
As part of its international expansion to add another 6,000 rooms to its portfolio, Kempinski Hotels has opened the doors to a luxury resort on Playa Pilar in Cuba: Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski. Located 500 km east of Havana, accommodations at the non-all-inclusive resort include over the water villas, some of which are named after Ernest Hemingway, who had a great love for the beauty and aesthetics found in the Cayos.

Tempo by Hilton breaks ground on first hotel
Hilton has begun construction of its very first Tempo by Hilton property in Louisville, Kentucky’s trendy NuLu neighbourhood.
The 130-room, six-storey hotel is slated to open in time for the 2021 Kentucky Derby.
The Tempo by Hilton brand continues to exhibit robust deal momentum, with more than 30 confirmed deals in cities including New York, Maui, Boston and Washington D.C., as well as an additional 40 deals in various stages of development.

Once open, the new Tempo by Hilton Louisville NuLu will offer a rooftop bar, allowing patrons to sip in style as they take in the surrounding skyline. The property will provide guestrooms that have been designed as welcoming treats with the brand’s signature Power Up and Power Down collections to assist guests with getting energized for the day or winding down for the night, as well as inviting public spaces, including flexible meeting space and a fitness centre.
Thoughtfully designed with the modern achiever in mind, the new Tempo by Hilton Louisville NuLu will also provide complimentary coffee and tea via the in-lobby Fuel Bar, as well as a range of additional food and beverage options including an innovative café-style offering serving a variety of smoothies, lattes, breakfast sandwiches, bowls and more, limited market, and in-lobby bar specializing in both spirited and non-spirited craft cocktails.
New hotel debuts along Mexico's San Jose del Cabo coastline
Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, opened its doors at the end of 2019 in the Baja California Sur, Mexico.
The property is designed to integrate into the landscape of Los Cabos with its natural stone buildings and wooden structures. There are 115 suites and villas in total, many with private pools, including ocean view and oceanfront rooms facing the Sea of Cortez. Visitors have access to a 24-hour fitness centre and there are numerous wellness workshops as well, providing yoga, mat Pilates and exercise training on the beach.
