WARWICK EXTENDS AGENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM
The Warwick Paradise Island – Bahamas has extended its “WPIB Travel Agents Incentive Program,” offering eligible travel agents with cash bonuses up to US$65 per booking throughout 2020 on top of regular commissions of up to 20%.
Through the program, agents must complete the “WPIB Specialist” training with the resort’s sales team to learn about the features of the resort and the incentives.
Agents with a valid IATA, TRUE or CLIA number can register for the WPIB Travel Agents Incentive Program by completing the registration form, available by emailing [email protected]. The agent will be contacted by a member of the sales department to conduct the training and provided with a personalized form to log all bookings that are a minimum of three nights.
Qualified WPIB Specialists receive the following cash incentives per booking (including group bookings) on top of their regular commissions once all reservations have been validated by the resort: Direct bookings made via resort’s website: three to four nights – US$30; five to six nights – US$50; seven or more nights – US$65. Bookings via participating tour operators: three to four nights – US$20; five to six nights – US$40; seven or more nights – US$55.

SAINT LUCIA INTRODUCES ACCOMMODATION FEE
The Saint Lucia government will be introducing a tourist accommodation fee April 1 to be used for destination marketing and development.
Beginning April 1, stay-over visitors to Saint Lucia will be required to pay an accommodation fee on their nightly stay on the island.
All accommodation providers on the island (hotels, guest houses, villas, apartments, etc.) will be required to collect US$3 or US$6 from guests on a nightly rate below or above US$120, respectively.
The fees will be paid by the stay-over visitor and collected by accommodation providers who will remit the fees collected to Government via the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
Guests at accommodation services sourced through sharing platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO will be subject to an accommodation fee of 7% on the full cost of stay.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is offering agents a host of special discounts for upcoming sailings.
Through June 30, agents can offer sun-seeking clients the chance to escape to Grand Bahama Island or Nassau, while enjoying 20% off spa treatments, specialty dining, WiFi, a $20 on-board credit, five drinks for $20, and kids sail free. In addition, travellers who book the Cruise & Stay Program can extend their stay and receive $100 off per cabin.
Agents that encourage clients to book the cruise line’s wave season offer will receive several incentives, including a base commission of 15% and no non-commissionable fees.
Travellers who book two-night escapes on board Grand Classica or Grand Celebration will enjoy various benefits, while sailing, including expansive sun decks with swimming pools, al fresco restaurants, full-service spas, interactive kids’ programs, and nightly shows.
